It’s holiday shopping season, and that means that at least one video game manufacturer is releasing a retro console. The last two years it’s been Nintendo’s turn, dominating the miniature throwback console conversation with the NES and SNES Classic Editions. Not to be outdone, Sony announced earlier this year that we’d be getting a PlayStation Classic, an amazing idea they must have come up with on their own. Okay, maybe this is just a blatant copy of what Nintendo already proved to be a successful concept. The question you’re asking is exactly correct though: does anyone care enough about the original PlayStation to purchase a miniature version? Well, we’ll find out soon enough.
