Normally, I'm hesitant to recommend Alexa or Google Home products. Despite the obvious value of a smart assistant and being able to speak commands into existence, the privacy concerns are still somewhat unsettling.
Setting aside personal privacy for a moment -- the Echo Show 15 is definitely a product I can get behind, perhaps purely from a design standpoint. I've long wanted a semi-affordable smart display large enough to serve as a family "activity board" of sorts. If you're a parent with children, you know managing the to-do's of daily life is a chore in itself. Enter the concept of a smart display board. There's something visually appealing about digital organization in this format.
Starting with the vibrant 15 inch display, the Echo Show 15 is definitely something I'll want to look at. Give me a quick snapshot of the day ahead, a quick list of the most important things to get done, throw in some trending news items.. and I'm suddenly 100% on board with Amazon invading my home and personal privacy. Add the fact that it can quickly transform into a photo gallery, and even stream shows. This device belongs in your kitchen, no questions asked. They even had the self-awareness to build a one-click shutter open/close for the camera lens. Wait, it has a camera?
