BMW X5M Black Fire Edition Photo Gallery

Seems like everyone is coming out with a “black” edition these days.. or at least something with fire in the name. BMW’s just happens to be better than almost every other one. It’s pretty hard to improve on the X5M – an amazing super SUV on the same level as the Porsche Cayenne. But after seeing the announcement that BMW is coming out with a Black Fire Edition of their X5M and X6M, I’ll admit I was intrigued.



The BMW X5M Black Fire edition SUV was unveiled alongside the X6M (which sorry, I’ve never been a fan of the X6 style) but both look pretty outrageous. According to Automobile Magazine they’ll both be released on the same day in August.

Maybe I’m just a sucker for blacked out SUV’s, but the Black Fire Edition looks seriously badass.

The Body
The recently unveiled X5M Black Fire Edition features an aggressive Sapphire Black Metallic paint.

Black Fire also features standard carbon wing mirror caps, 21-inch black wheels, and a host of other black trim fittings.

The Interior

The inside sparks like electric. We discovered more of amazing, finely toned features that were really unexpected such as the fine, Bicolor, Merino leather that’s made in contrasting Black and Mugello Red that extends to the central console. The interior trim shines in piano finish black, with a BMW X5 M Black Fire Edition logo signifying​ there is something special about the car.

The Function

Equipped with a 4.4 liter, twin – turbocharged V8 engine, the X5 M is able to reach a top performance of 423 kW/575 horsepower​. The Black Fire Edition features an impressive 750 Nm of maximum torque, and a standard eight-speed M Steptronic gearbox that adds to its performance making the X5M to be able to achieve from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

The Price

BMW has yet to disclose the price for the X5M Black Fire Edition SUV, although our source here shows that the car would be sold for $100,700. And as said before, the X5M will be released on August, till then we expect to know the accurate cost of it. The X6 M is said to be a bit more costlier than the X5M at $104,400. From what we see, both will be offering pretty similar features.

Release Date

Well, if you were expecting bad news, there isn’t really any we can think of. Only thing we can think of is that if you’re in a rush, you’ll have to chill for a while til August when they make these available.
