    Nintendo 3DS XL SNES Edition

    Nintendo-3DS-XL-SNES-Edition_01v2 $199

Nintendo might just be the trollmaster general. First, they release the NES and SNES Classic Editions. Everyone gets really excited, and then they're sold out everywhere and it's clear that production isn't coming close to meeting demand. Now, they decide to make a SNES edition of their popular 3DS XL handheld. Does the world need this? Probably not. Will people buy one? Absolutely. Snag a 3DS XL SNES Edition on November 27th.

The 3DS XL does include a download code for Super Mario Kart, so that's neat.

    So, what exactly is it?

The Nintendo 3DS XL is a handheld gaming system. You might have seen one in the hands of an 8 year old, or a 45 year old on a plane. Nintendo loves trolling the world, so they've announced a SNES Edition, which is basically just a 3DS that looks sort of like a Super Nintendo. Nothing more than a branded version of an already-popular product, aimed at squeezing more money out of your pockets. All by playing on nostalgia, and your propensity to view old Nintendo consoles as something more memorable than they actually were. Okay, maybe we're still upset about the fact that they won't seem to make enough Classic Edition consoles to meet demand. Shame on you Nintendo!
